What is Personal Training?
Personal Training is one-on-one private exercise
instruction that involves educating, motivating,
and coaching individual clients, helping them reach
their fullest potential. Each session is one hour
long and consists of stretching, warm-up activities,
and strength-training. Specific routines are custom
tailored to each individual and may involve the use
of dumbbells, machines, physioballs, and dynabands.
Who Can Benefit from a Personal Trainer?
Individuals at all levels of conditioning will experience
a greater and more rapid increase in physical fitness
by working with a personal trainer. Anyone who is just
beginning an exercise program or recovering from an injury
should consult with a trainer to develop an effective
routine and proper technique (after obtaining a physician’s
approval). More experienced individuals can also benefit,
especially those working through a “plateau” in
their training. If you are bored, unmotivated, or not
achieving desired results from your current workout,
an experienced trainer can help you realize your health
and fitness goals.
